How to Complete the ReviewX Onboarding Wizard

After you install and log into ReviewX for the first time, an onboarding wizard walks you through the essentials before you ever touch the full settings panel — brand color, layout, criteria, and photo reviews are all configured in a few clicks, so your store has a working review section immediately.

Step 1: Choose your brand color and layout

The wizard opens with a color picker so the review widgets match your store’s theme, followed by a layout choice: List, Grid, or Masonry. Pick whichever fits your product page design, then click Continue.

Step 2: Enable multi-criteria reviews

Turn on multi-criteria reviews and name your criteria (e.g. Quality, Value for Money, Shipping Speed). You can add, rename, or remove criteria at any time later from Reviews → Review Settings — see Managing Multiple Review Criteria.

Step 3: Enable photo reviews

Turn on photo reviews to let customers attach images to their feedback — this consistently increases trust in the reviews shown on your product pages. You can revisit this setting anytime.

Step 4: Enable automatic review requests

Turn on automatic review-request emails so customers are asked for a review after their order is complete, without you sending anything manually. You can fine-tune timing and templates later — see Sending Review Reminder Emails.

Step 5: Sign in or create your account

Finally, connect the plugin to a ReviewX account: sign in with your existing Client Portal email/password, enter a license key, or create a free account on the spot if you don’t have one yet. This is the same connection covered in Activating ReviewX.

You’re done

Once the wizard closes, ReviewX starts its initial data sync and your store is ready to collect reviews. Every choice you made here is just a starting point — nothing is locked in, and you can adjust colors, layout, criteria, and email automation anytime from the ReviewX settings pages.
