Activating a ReviewX license key is a login, not a settings-page field — if you’re looking for a “License” tab under ReviewX Settings to paste a key into, that flow doesn’t exist anymore. Since V2, license activation happens on the plugin’s login screen, the same place free users sign in.
Step 1: Get your license key
Sign in to the ReviewX Client Portal, open Licenses, and copy an existing key or click Generate New Key. Full steps in How to Generate a License Key.
Step 2: Paste it on the ReviewX login screen
In your WordPress dashboard, open ReviewX — if the plugin isn’t already connected, you’ll land on the login screen automatically. Choose the License Key option, paste your key, and submit.
Step 3: Wait for sync
Once the key is accepted, ReviewX syncs your store data and unlocks whatever your plan includes. This typically takes 5–10 minutes for a normal-sized store.
One license key, one site
Each license key connects to a single site at a time. If you try to activate a key that’s already in use elsewhere, you’ll get a “license already in use” error — either generate a new key or remove the old site from that key first in the Client Portal’s Licenses page.
Troubleshooting
- “Invalid license” — double-check the key was copied in full, with no extra spaces.
- “License already in use” — the key is connected to another site; remove that site from the license in the Client Portal, or generate a new key.
- “Domain mismatch” / “Site already exists” — the license was generated for a different domain, or this domain is already connected under a different key. See Troubleshooting Login Errors.
