The visual presentation of customer reviews directly impacts visitor trust and conversion rates. ReviewX provides a dedicated, real-time widget designer located under ReviewX → Reviews → Widget settings, allowing you to tailor every design element to match your brand without writing custom CSS.
Navigating Widget Settings
To access the visual appearance controls:
- Go to ReviewX → Reviews in your WordPress admin menu.
- Click on the Widget settings tab.
- ReviewX features a split-pane interface: your design controls on the left, and a real-time Section preview on the right. You can toggle between Desktop and Mobile preview modes at any time to verify responsiveness.
Customizable Widget Sections
The settings pane organizes appearance settings into modular accordions:
- Badge: Enable or disable the prominent “Highly rated” badge that highlights products with an aggregate score higher than 4 stars.
- Review layout: Select the structure of your customer feedback cards:
- List: A classic vertical chronological feed ideal for stores with long, detailed written testimonials.
- Grid: A clean card layout that makes efficient use of horizontal space on desktop screens.
- Masonry: A modern dynamic layout that seamlessly accommodates reviews with varying text lengths and photo attachments.
- Color: Harmonize review widgets with your store’s palette by choosing custom brand colors, star rating colors, and button font colors.
- Filter & sort: Toggle whether shoppers can filter reviews by star rating or media attachments, and sort by highest/lowest rating or newest/oldest date.
- Pagination: Set the exact number of reviews loaded per page.
Once you are satisfied with the look in the live preview panel, click Save at the bottom right to apply changes to your live store.
