Cancelling a ReviewX subscription is done from the Client Portal, not the WordPress plugin — and the timing of when it actually takes effect is worth understanding before you click confirm.
Step 1: Go to your dashboard
Sign in to the Client Portal. On paid, recurring plans, you’ll see a Downgrade Plan button on the dashboard.
Step 2: Click Downgrade Plan
A confirmation modal explains what happens: you’ll lose access to premium features, and your account will move to the Free plan.
Step 3: Confirm
Click Cancel Subscription in the modal to confirm, or Keep Subscription to back out.
When does it actually take effect?
Your subscription is cancelled at the Paddle level right away, but the downgrade to Free doesn’t happen instantly — it takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Until then, you keep full access to your paid plan’s features, since you’ve already paid for that period.
Why isn’t this button available to me?
The Downgrade Plan button only appears for paid, recurring subscriptions. It’s hidden for the Free plan (nothing to downgrade from) and for one-time Lifetime Deal purchases (there’s no recurring charge to cancel).
