When a customer clicks the link in a ReviewX review-request or discount email, they land on a hosted page — not your website directly — that handles the review submission or coupon application before sending them back to your store. Here’s exactly what they see.
Clicking a review request link
- The customer lands on a review form pre-filled with their order and product context — no login needed, thanks to auto-login.
- They see a star rating (or one star rating per criterion, if you use multi-criteria reviews), an optional title field if you’ve enabled the review title field, and a feedback textarea.
- They click Submit Review, and the review posts directly to the matching product on your store.
After submitting, they see one of three confirmation states: a thank-you message, a notice that they’ve already reviewed this order (ReviewX allows one review per order here, regardless of your multiple-reviews setting, unless it applies), or an error notice if something went wrong.
Clicking a discount link
If the review qualified for a Discount for Review coupon, the customer instead lands on a page that automatically applies the coupon to their cart on your store, then shows a confirmation screen inviting them back to your store to finish checking out. There’s nothing for them to click or configure — it applies automatically.
Why this matters for you
These pages are unbranded and hosted by ReviewX rather than your own site theme — worth knowing so you’re not surprised the URL isn’t yours when a customer asks about it, and so you understand why a customer says they “already reviewed” an order even if they don’t see it reflected somewhere you expected.
